What do you think are the qualities of a good dancer? Passion, musicality, clarity, and guts
As a teacher, what is your main goal each convention weekend? To inspire the students to find their connection to the Art of Tap Dance and to share with them and pass on my passion for Tap.
What one thing would you like all young dancers to walk away with after each weekend workshop? Knowing that you can achieve whatever you dream if you are willing to put the work in, and that there is something to learn from every style of dance. And that if you take the time to know where these styles came from and the Artists that helped shape the art, you will take the Art forward with even more inspiration.
Do you have dreams? So many!!! Create and perform in a Broadway Show, Film and TV show featuring Tap. Create Dance music videos where the Dancer is the star! Record an album where Tap is an instrument on the tracks. Get more people around the world to fall in love with Tap. Expand the DC Tap Festival and the LA Tap Festival so that more people around the world have funding to attend. Have millions of dollars so that I could make dance accessible to all people regardless of their socioeconomic status and own a dance center in New York City.
